Hyderabad (Telangana): The total number of cases of COVID-19 in the country stands at 5,85,492. The number of active cases is 2,20,114 and the discharged cases are 3,47,978. Meanwhile, the death toll is 17,400.
Delhi
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said that the COVID-19 situation in Delhi was not “terrible” as predicted a month ago, while happily announcing that the number of people recovering from novel coronavirus was increasing. It was predicted that by 30th of June, Delhi would have 1 lakh cases out of which 60,000 would be active cases. But today, it has 26,000 active cases. While addressing a virtual press briefing, Kejriwal said that while the situation is under control, the virus is unpredictable and we must continue efforts with more vigour.
Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan inaugurated the 'Kill Corona' campaign on the occasion of Doctor's Day today. Under this campaign 11,458 survey groups will visit homes in the state for 'door to door' survey. They will test for Covid-19 and other diseases as well. During the 15-day campaign, 2.5 lakh tests will be carried out and 15,000 to 20,000 samples would be collected daily, State developed app 'SARTHAK' will be used to document the survey. Meanwhile, the curfew may be extended for 15 days due to the rising number of Corona positive in Morena.
Rajasthan
The Health Department on Wednesday morning at 9 am, announced that 26 new corona positive patients have been detected in the district jail. There are currently 28 active cases of corona in Pratapgarh district. According to the information, an accused arrested in a firing case was the first to be corona positive. With the screening of staff in the district jail, preparations are also being made for shifting of prisoners. According to District Jail Superintendent Shivendra Kumar Sharma, after the screening of the prisoners in the district jail, a further outline will be made according to the order from the higher officials.
Uttarakhand
Sixty-six new cases have been reported in the state. With this corona positive figure rises to 2,947. Although 2,317 Corona positive have been cured and discharged from hospital and 41 patients have died so far. Only 562 active patients are undergoing treatment in the state. As per the health bulletin, corona positive recovery rate is 78.62 per cent in Uttarakhand.
Chhattisgarh
In Chhattisgarh 20 Border Security Force (BSF) and 2 Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel have been infected by the deadly virus. All jawans are posted in Naxal affected district of Kanker. They are undergoing treatment at Dimrapal hospital in Jagdalpur. Meanwhile, there are no coronavirus active cases in Mungeli district.

Gujarat
Eleven sadhus belonging to one of the divisions of the Swaminarayan sect, which has its temple in Maninagar area, have tested positive for coronavirus over the last one week, a health official said on Wednesday. While five sadhus were staying in the premises of the Maninanagr temple in Ahmedabad, six others stayed in other localities, said Deputy Health Officer, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). All the 11 infected sadhus are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals. Swami Bhagvatpriyadas of the Maninagar temple said the premises have been sanitised after the cases were detected around a week back.
Bihar
The number of corona infections in Bihar has now crossed 10 thousand. On Wednesday, three policemen, including a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) and a jawan, have been found corona positive in Ara. Two of these policemen are linked to the chain of the already infected superintendent of police (SP). Nine more Corona patients died in the last 24 hours, after which the death toll from the epidemic has risen to 74.
At the same time, the administration and traffic department is going to be more strict with the lockdown norms. Shops and markets will not entertain people who do not wear masks. In Nalanda, Nawada, Munger, Madhubani, Bhojpur, Gopalganj districts, challans have already been issued for people breaking the lockdown norms.
Jharkhand
The number of infected patients has reached 2,490 in the state in which 591 cases are active. Four patients infected with coronavirus have been found in Mahuatoli village of Kudu police station area of Lohardaga district. This village has been declared as a Containment Zone by the administration. Even media is strictly not allowed to visit this area.
