Tirupati: Large number of devotees, who came to have a darshan of Lord Venkateshwara at Tirumala, staged a protest against TTD for releasing Tirumala Srivari Sarvadarshan tickets online. It is learnt that devotees flocked to Tirumala in large numbers for Sarvadarshan tokens from Tamil Nadu and Telangana, but were disappointed when they came to know about the release of tickets online. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and advised devotees to go back to their native places.
It may be recalled that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) released Srivari special entry darshan tickets worth Rs 300 on its website. It was disclosed that the quota for October will be available. TTD officials clarified that devotees, who are coming to Tirumala, must carry the certificate of having administered two doses of Corona vaccine or a certificate of Corona negative.
Meanwhile, Srivari Sarvadarshan tokens will be released online by TTD at 9 am on Saturday. The tokens will be released till October 31. However, TTD officials said that only 8,000 tickets will be issued per day.
