Conquer fear to contain corona: DSN Films spokesperson Satyanarayana

DSN Films spokesperson and filmmaker Doola Satyanarayana was diagnosed with Coronavirus on June 15 while filming documentaries and short-films under the awareness campaign run by the Telangana government for the COVID-19 pandemic. After getting home quarantined for 15 days he recovered and was ready to share his success story with other patients by making videos of the treatment procedures as he believes that corona can be contained only when fear is conquered.

Hyderabad (Telangana): To create awareness among people over the deadly coronavirus pandemic, Telangana government in association with Hyderabad based video-filming firm DSN Films launched many documentaries and short films.

The responsibility of filming the documentaries was given to a team of 12 members headed by DSN Films spokesperson and filmmaker Doola Satyanarayana.

Adopting all preventive measures and donning PPE kits, the team started filming at various locations of Hyderabad including the Gandhi hospital which is a dedicated COVID care centre for the positive patients.

Satyanarayana along with his team took the responsibility to bring out the treatment details being meted out at the Gandhi Hospital through his videos.

They tried to inspire people during the fatal boom as well as to reflect the plight of the COVID-19 warriors and frontline health workers alongside treatment procedures being maintained to cure the coronavirus patients.

During the shoots, Satyanarayana along with two fellow members contacted the infection on June 15 but with strong will power, they successfully recovered the disease and started their new project to film the recovered COVID-19 patients.

They have started discovering the frame of mindset of those who had conquered the deadly virus. They are working on the success stories, thought process and struggles of the corona recovered patients.

The videos are helping people to clear their doubts with regards to corona treatment.

The short films also covered the work done by the state government to contain the deadly virus by showing the services provided by GHMC staff, Disaster Response Force, ambulances, corona diagnosis testing labs, quarantine centres apart from highlighting the details regarding containment zones, food and facilities being provided for the isolated patients.

Narrating his success story in one of the videos, Satyanarayana revealed that he was treated during home isolation for 15 days as he suffered from mild symptoms.

"After getting diagnosed, I had started taking home treatment through the intake of herbal infusion drinks, hot water and nutritious food, along with regular breathing exercises," he stated.

According to him, corona can be contained only when fear is conquered.

“Do not panic when you get a corona positive diagnosis. One should get hospitalised if symptoms are severe. I have seen many corona patients recover quickly," Satyanarayana added.

Among the 10 corona-related videos shot on behalf of the government, ‘Hyderabad Lockdown’ video has received more attention and has gone viral on social media.
