Bhadrachalam: Police here have arrested six Maoist militia members including a minor at Poosaguppa of Charla Mandal in Bhadradri Kottagudem district. One among the six was found to be a minor boy aged seventeen, police said.
Police and CRPF personnel have been conducting a combing operation at Poosaguppa, a state border area. During the operation, these six Maoists were rounded by the police, Bhadrachalam ASP Vineeth said. Though they attempted to flee, police nabbed them, ASP said.
ASP added that the six were from Chattisgarh and have been members of the Maoist outfit for the last three years. They were involved in various anti-government activities. While five were remanded, the minor boy was shifted to a juvenile home, the ASP said.
