Hyderabad: Vignesh set out on his grand India tour almost a month ago to spread the message, the importance of cycling. This is his story.
According to Vignesh, he is on a mission to travel from North to South (Kashmir to Kanyakumari), solo, with an aim to promote cycling for health and fitness. The 24-year-old Tamil Nadu man, who worked for private financial institutions, has completed 39 days on wheels.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Vignesh claimed that by promoting cycling as a part of the lifestyle, congestion in cities can be avoided.
"Cycling has financial and health benefits. There are a lot of possibilities for spreading awareness," Vignesh said.
Vignesh has been peddling through cities- Jammu and Kashmir, New Delhi, Agra, Nagpur, Hyderabad and will end his expedition at Kanyakumari, thereby covering a total of 11 states in his journey.
On the verge of completing 2,500 km, Vignesh is determined to complete 1000 km more to achieve the goal. Vignesh believes cycling has environmental benefits including cutting down of harmful emissions and reduce severe congestion especially in major cities.
