Corona vaccination distribution will begin on the Jan 16th across the country. The Central Government has sanctioned 5,56,500 vaccines for Tamil Nadu.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu): 5 lakh 36 thousand 500 Covishield vaccines arrived in Tamil Nadu by separate flight. The government suggests doctors, nurses, and hospital staff be registered first to take the corona vaccine.

The target was set to be given the vaccine to 6 lakh employees. But so far, only 4 lakh 39 thousand 594 people have registered. Doctors working in private hospitals have said they do not need the vaccine. In this case, members of the Tamil Nadu Government Doctors Association and the Tamil Nadu Government Nurses Association are advised to be vaccinated only after the announcement of a full review of the vaccine.

Vaccination is done under the guidance of the Central Government. Also, there is a talk, Vaccination can cause mild fever and hand pain. Corona vaccine should be given in 2 doses. The second dose should be given 28 days after the first dose. Immunity develops only after 14 days".

While Speaking on this issue, Balaji, a clinical microbiologist at CMC Hospital, Vellore, said, “ Coronavirus vaccines are safe. Central government approves the vaccine only after ensuring its safety. During the vaccination, the volunteers face a fever, headache, and pain in the hands. They will be sent to the observation room after vaccination. They will also be given a metacin tablet. It is enough to take the pill when fever and headache occur. As well as they can carry out routine tasks. If the vaccinated person has pain in the hand, it means that the vaccine has started working"

A consultative meeting will be held on the Jan 15th under Health Secretary to resolve the doubts of the doctors and nurses regarding the vaccination.
