Thiruvarur: As the state sees no respite from the rising COVID-19 cases, the Tamil Nadu central university (TICU) has decided to conduct exams for the final year undergraduate and postgraduate students online, in order to complete their graduation.
However, the dates for the online exams are yet to be announced.
As per reports, the semester exams that used to take place in the varsity in the month of April were cancelled due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
As the center is announcing various relaxation in lockdown, HRD ministry advised the universities to conduct semester exams online.
As per HRD ministry's suggestion, the university has now announced that semester exams for final year students will be conducted online.
TICU Registrar Bhuvaneswari said," The exams for the final year undergraduate and postgraduate students will be held online,"
Meanwhile, the central university is still mulling over, the idea to conduct the exams for first and second year students online.
