Tamil Nadu: CCTV footage shows woman's dead body dumped in road

A woman's corpse was disposed of in the road in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore. Police suspected it to be a road accident first. But the screening of CCTV footage nearby crime spot revealed that it was dumped from a moving car. Special teams were formed to probe the crime.

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu): In a shocking video, a dead body of a woman was dumped in the road from a moving vehicle here in the wee hours of Monday morning. The motorists after seeing the body informed Peelamedu police station. The police rushed to the spot and recovered the body sending it to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for the postmortem.

Initially, the police suspected it to be a road accident as the dead body was run over by vehicles. But the police, upon screening the CCTV footage of the establishments nearby, found that the body was actually dumped by a car on the move. Peelamedu police have filed a case and two special teams were formed by the police to investigate the case.

The identity of the deceased remains unknown since the corpse was run over by the vehicles. Further investigation is underway to nab the killers and identify the dead woman.
