Sri Lankan Navy apprehended 4 Indian fishermen and siezed a boat on Monday. They have been taken to Kankesanthurai naval camp.

Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu): Sri Lankan Navy apprehended four Indian fishermen, from the state of Tamil Nadu along with a boat on the charges of poaching in its territorial water on Tuesday, officials said.

The interrogation of all the apprehended fishermen is underway at Kankesanthurai naval camp in Sri Lanka.

More details in this regard are awaited.

Fishermen from both countries are being apprehended on a regular basis for breaching each other’s territorial waters or doing suspicious activities.
