TN constable cracks 43 of 50 'missing person' cases

Senior constable, Balamurugan solved 43 out of 50 missing person cases during 2020. Identifying his zeal, police in Tirupur district set up "missing person tracing team" under the constable's leadership.

Tirupur: Tirupur police department has set up a "missing person tracing team" and most of the unresolved cases have been handed over to Balamurugan, a senior constable at Palladam police station in Tirupur. Balamurugan has an exemplary track record of solving missing person cases with ease.

A total of 50 missing cases including women, boys and girls were registered at Palladam police station jurisdiction during 2020.

Balamurugan traced 43 missing persons out of 50 cases and everyone joined their respective families and relatives.

Tiruppur District Superintendent of Police, Disha Mittal appreciated Balamurugan. Balamurugan said, "I have gone to many districts and other states to find out the missing persons. Mostly, teenagers missing cases are registered in our station."

"I was already working in the crime branch and it was easier for me to find the missing persons. I visited Kerala to find a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old girl in two separate cases. During that time, I faced some unforgettable experiences during interrogation," he added.
