Ranipet (Tamil Nadu): A gang of robbers, on Thursday, stole around Rs4.5 lakh cash from an ATM at the Perungalathur area in Ranipet district here. The looted ATM is located near the entrance of a private college that neither has a security guard nor CCTV for monitoring.

The thieves used welding materials to dismantle the machine to steal the cash. Ranipet SP Deepa Sathyan rushed to the spot and appointed a special team to investigate the incident.
