The five fingers of a person will be pressed on the tracker and within two minutes, the person’s blood pressure, oxygen level in the blood, body temperature, haemoglobin, blood cell count and zeta potential are all known. Then on the basis of the zeta potential, it will be ascertained easily whether the person concerned has been infected by corona or not.

Kesavan Jegatheesan, head of the KJ Hospital and Postgraduate Research Centre, said, “this instrument has been used among patients at the government hospitals and it has been found 100 per cent accurate in detecting the corona infection. It is also useful in screening out non-infectious people. In fact, this instrument is useful in conducting corona tests much faster and more accurately than RT-PCR tests.”

At a time when the corona infection is spreading rapidly, this instrument should be produced on a large scale so that people with corona infection are found speedily and quarantined immediately, he said.

Tejasvi, a student of the KJ Hospital and Postgraduate Research Centre, said, ‘We were in fact involved in the cancer research. But now that corona second wave has hit us, we designed this machine with the help of medical electronic technology.”
