Madurai: After controversial godman Nithyananda founded his new nation 'Kailaasa', a Madurai based hotel proprietor, Kumar on Saturday said that he would like to start a hotel there.
Kumar, the owner of hotel 'City Dreamz inn' in Madurai has written a letter seeking permission to start a restaurant in Kailaasa.
"I would like to start a hotel in the newly formed country Kailasa. Further, I will help Nithyananda to enrich the country by introducing a variety of foods, including Mask Parotta, just as you use new tactics to impress devotees," the letter read.
In December 2019, the self-styled godman, who is on the run, declared he formed a new nation called 'Kailaasa'. However, the exact location of Kailaasa is unknown but media reports suggest it is on a small island that Nithyananda purchased off the coast of Ecuador.
The new nation has its own passport, flag and emblem. In its website, 'Kailaasa' is described as the greatest Hindu nation on earth.
According to the social media circulations by Nithyananda, the new nation offers a safe haven to all the world’s practising, aspiring or persecuted Hindus, irrespective of race, gender, sect, caste, or creed, where they can peacefully live and express their spirituality, arts, and culture free from denigration, interference and violence.
The government of the new nation has various departments like homeland security, defence, treasury, commerce, housing, human services, education and so on.
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi (August 22), Nithyananda unveiled the currency of Kailaasa. Announcing the launch of the 'Reserve Bank of Kailasa' on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, he said on his official Facebook account that the bank offered its currency at the feet of Lord Ganesha and Paramashiva.
The rape case in which Nithyananda is a prime accused is pending before the Third Additional District and Session Court in Karnataka's Ramanagara.
