Madurai: Nearly a month after the demise of his wife, Tamil Nadu's businessman unveiled a life-sized statue of her at his home to express his love for her.
Sethuraman from Madurai got a six-foot statue of Pichaimani Ammal made and installed at his home so that he could still be close to her.
The life-like sculpture is made by fibre, rubber and special colours by a local sculptor, Prasanna who has painstakingly designed the statue.
"My wife was very dear to me. I always miss her, after she passed away 30 days back. I placed this statue at our residence, to be with her always," he said.
"This statue is made of fibre, mixed with rubber and other items, so as to make it stronger and last longer. Colours used on this statue could last at least 50 years," he added.
