Chennai: This private school in Sirkazhi town in Tamil Nadu's Nagapattinam district is facing a unique 'identity crisis', as the school has 52 twins on their rolls! According to reports, the teachers and the school management is finding it difficult to identify students and often gets confused.
The teachers claim that some of the little ones throw tantrums if they are separated from each other. The parents also want their twins to be seated together.
According to the principal of one of the schools, the town has had twins for decades and everyone has become accustomed to it. Besides, the teachers claim that having twins adds double fun to teaching sessions as twins answer for each other and exchange notes and so on.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, twins KM Prithyanka and KM Priyanka of class 12 said that they frequently play pranks to confuse their classmates as well as the management.
"We scored identical marks, 373, in 10th class. It surprised everybody," Prithyanka said.
"We like the same colour. We do everything together. We exchange notes. We take care of each other, " Priyanka said.
A combine of five schools in the town including Vivekananda Matriculation Higher Secondary school, SMH Matriculation School and Panchayat Union Higher Secondary school have at least 20 pairs of twins!
