Coimbatore: A DMK functionary was arrested here on Sunday for allegedly trying to prevent a group of health workers from conducting a door-to-door survey to identify people with any symptoms of COVID-19.
Ismail, a local functionary in Karumbukadai locality attempted to prevent the workers, including some Anganawadi staff from carrying out the survey and reportedly threatened the women staff on Saturday, police said.
Based on a complaint, he was arrested. (PTI)
