Chennai: Putting all hands on deck ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Polls, DMK president MK Stalin was seen campaigning for his son, Udhayanidhi on Sunday.

Udhayanidhi Stalin is all set to make his electoral debut in the upcoming assembly elections. He will be contesting from Chennai's Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni constituency on the party's ticket.

"No one should raise the question that why don't you campaign for your son when you're campaigning for every other candidate. So, I came here to ask for votes" Stalin said.

Coming down heavily on AIADMK's advertisement regarding the DMK rule, Stalin added that people will give a befitting reply on the polling date. Thiruvallikeni has been a stronghold of DMK for more than four decades.

Tamil Nadu assembly elections will be held in a single phase on April 6 and the counting of votes will take place on May 2. The term of the fifteenth legislative assembly in Tamil Nadu is ending on May 2, 2021.
