Tiruvannamalai (TN): A 35-year-old Chinese man, hiding in a cave in Annamalai hills in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannamalai town was brought down and admitted to the isolation ward in a private hospital although, he has tested negative for COVID-19.
According to sources, the person identified as Yang Ruii, came to Tiruvannamalai on January 20 to worship at the Arulmigu Arunachaleswarar temple and that he resorted to living in the cave as local lodges refused him accommodation.
Ruii was later caught by the forest officials and taken to the hospital.
While speaking about this, the district collector KS Kandasamy said that Ruii has tested negative for corona.
He also added that all sorts of facilities will be given to him by the district administration and that he has now been quarantined in the Ramana Maharishi Rangammal Hospital.
