Coimbatore: A python was caught by the forest department from the Maruthamalai Subramaniya Swamy temple in Coimbatore district on Tuesday. Seeing the python entering the temple, a cat living here in Sithar Cave, tried to catch it.
A clash between the two frightened the devotees in the temple while they witnessed the action and called for the forest officials.
Soon, the forest officials reached the spot, caught the python and left it deep in western ghats.
The incident was caught on camera by one of the devotees in the scene.
