Chennai: Bigg Boss Tamil fame Yashika Anand, who starred in the 'Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu', met with a road accident and was admitted to a private hospital where her condition remains critical. One of her friends who travelled in the car had died on the spot.
Yashika Anand, along with her friend Valli Shetty Bhavani from Hyderabad and two male friends, were travelling in a car from Pondicherry to Chennai when the accident happened around 1 am on Sunday morning. The car collided against the median at the Soolerikadu area next to Mamallapuram. Valli Shetty Bhavani, a 28-year-old friend of Yashika Anand, was killed in the accident. Yashika Anand and her two male friends have been admitted to a private hospital with serious injuries.
Mamallapuram Police Inspector Natarajan registered a case and conducting an investigation. A preliminary investigation has revealed that Yashika Anand was driving the car. Actress Yashika Anand has been booked under sections 304A, 337 and 279 of the Indian Penal Code in connection with a car accident near Mamallapuram.
