16-year-old held for making crude bomb in TN

Police in Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district arrested a 16-year-old who made a crude bomb and detonated it on the road. The boy has been sent to a correctional home in Thanjavur.

Kumbakonam (Tamil Nadu): Police in Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district arrested a 16-year-old who made a crude bomb and detonated it on the road. The boy has been sent to a correctional home in Thanjavur.

According to police, the boy came in contact with a youngster from Bihar from whom he learned how to make country bombs.

With assistance from the Bihari youth, he made the country bomb and detonated it on a road near Kumbakonam. A friend of the boy made a video and posted it on the internet. Following these events, the police made arrests.

Further investigation is underway and the boy was handed over to youth reform school in Thanjavur.
