Pudukkottai (Tamil Nadu): A 14-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and killed in Tamil Nadu's Pudukottai district on Monday.
Reportedly, the minor girl had stepped out to fetch water from a pipe. Since she did not return for more than half an hour, the victim’s parents went in search for her and found her lying in the field in pool of blood.
Being informed that police reached the spot and took her to the nearby hospital. The victim somehow managed to record her statement to the police saying that she was sexually assaulted by the a group of men.
However, she died on the early hours of Tuesday without responding to the treatment.
Police are investigating that matter and case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC.
