Dausa (Rajasthan): With the Rajasthan Speaker issuing notices to Sachin Pilot and other rebel Congress MLAs, Dausa MLA Murari Lal Meena, a Pilot loyalist, asked Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to "sacrifice" his post to resolve the ongoing crisis.
In a video message, Meena said that Gehlot's attempts to threaten the rebel MLAs will not work.
"Today, the way we were accused of corruption, it has shocked us. We are very sad. I would like to ask him (Gehlot) how much money we had taken when we came to the Congress from the BSP. Those who were honest at the time, how did they become corrupt today?" Meena questioned.
"Nobody can buy us, we are not up for sale. Since we were disappointed with many unkept promises and the way we have been treated for the past one-and-a-half years, we came to Delhi under the leadership of Sachin Pilot," he added.
Meena went on to say that Gehlot should step down from his post for the interest of the party.

"If he (Gehlot) wants Congress to stay united and strong, why not sacrifice his post like Sonia Gandhi did?" Meena asked.
The Pilot loyalist said that his faction did not care about the notice sent by the Speaker. "We did not become MLAs due to him. We made Congress strong, led it to victory. Gehlot should stop thinking that he can scare us. We are not going to get scared," Meena said.
Meena further said that Gehlot was a "magician" who kept people in illusion. "He shows people something, but then the reality is completely different," Meena said.
Rajasthan Speaker CP Joshi has issued notices to Sachin Pilot and 18 other rebel Congress MLAs after the party sought their disqualification from the state assembly. Pilot and the other MLAs were asked to respond to the notices by Friday.
