Dholpur (Rajasthan): Minister of State for Roads, Buildings, Legislative affairs and Housing Department of Telangana, Vemula Prashanth Reddy on Saturday visited Saramathura Subdivision in Rajasthan's Dholpur to inspect red stone for new secretariat complex in the state.

Reddy and the team examined the red and other types of stones used in the construction of iconic buildings and interacted with concerned officials to take their opinion. The minister along with his team visited red stone quarries of Dholpur, Bari, Hirapura, Sarmathura and Karauli areas.

"The state government is planning to use stones and other materials from Rajasthan for the construction of a new secretariat complex in Hyderabad. For this, red and white stones of the Dholpur district will be used. The Parliament house also has been constructed from the stone of Dholpur district," Minister Reddy said.

"The quality of the stones of Dholpur district is commendable. The beauty of the stone here is unmatched. As per the decision of the Chief Minister, the Vidhan Sabha will be constructed according to Vastu-Shastra. Assembly and secretariat will be constructed as per the reports of the consulting experts," he said.

Notably, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has asked Prashanth Reddy's team to conduct a study tour to get correct information about the stones and materials used for historical structures.
