Dungarpur: While some people boycott the polls as the politicians fail to keep their promises made during the election campaigns, some responsible citizens of the country never miss to take part in the biggest festival of democracy and cast their votes, even if facing a severe personal crisis.
And there is such a family in Nalwa Phula village of Gumanpura Panchayat. An elderly person in the family, Fannu Menat, 70, passed away late on Sunday and her funeral was scheduled on Monday morning.
However, the family members did not abstain from fulfilling their duty as a citizen and went to cast their votes in the morning. After returning from the booth, they conducted the funeral of the deceased family member.
Ramchandra Menat, a retired Army office, along with his brother Rajendra and son Ganesh, on Monday cast their votes, as they believe that casting vote is more important.
