Pali: To commemorate the completion of one year of her tenure as a sarpanch of Dhanla Panchayat in Rajasthan's Pali district, Pramodkanwar organised a camp to give insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh each to 275 women under Prime Minister Suraksha Bima Yojana.
The sarpanch said that in the rural areas, usually, no one cares about such schemes for women due to lack of information.
She has also decided to implement the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana on the ground and provide the insurance cover.
"At least 275 women of 18-70 years of age will be getting insurance coverage. I myself will pay the insurance premium of all women," Pramodkanwar added.
Village Development Officer Mularam Jakhar held sessions to inform the women in the panchayat about various central government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Raksha Yojana, Palanhar Yojana, Uphar Sahayog Yojana, Pension Yojana and other welfare schemes.
He also said that the local administration is committed to providing the benefits of government schemes to the general public of the area.
