Wife of temple priest raped in Rajasthan's Barmer

The attackers are said to have seized the priest first in Barmer district before assaulting his wife. A search is on for three men based on a complaint by the woman.

Barmer: Police in Rajasthan said the wife of a temple priest was raped by three men and a case has been registered.

The assault took place at Pachpadra in Barmer district on Wednesday after the men seized the priest before attacking his wife.

Hours later, the husband-wife duo reached district police headquarters and met SP Anand Sharma.

A medical examination of the victim was also conducted.

"The woman has named three men and a case has been registered. A hunt has been launched to nab them. The victim has informed that the three accused were watching her for a few days," police said.
