Sirohi (Rajasthan): A minor boy drowned while taking bath in West Banas Dam at Dhanri village of Rajasthan's Sirohi district on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Praveen Kumar of the same village.
According to sources, Praveen Kumar along with his friend, Punaram had planned to go for swimming in the West Banas Dam this afternoon.
While swimming in the Dam, Praveen accidentally slipped into deep water and dragged away by a strong current. Though he was rescued and rushed to the local health centre, doctor declared him “brought dead”, sources said.
Later, Swarupganj police seized the body and sent it to Sirohi DHH for post mortem after registering a case of unnatural death into the incident, sources added.
