Sihori: Nearly a week after a minor was raped and murdered in Rajasthan's Sirohi, the police have arrested the perpetrator and an investigation is on.
According to the police, on September 26, an FIR of rape and subsequent killing of an 8-year-old girl in Telapi Kheda was registered.
The girl had gone to take a bath with her brother where the arrested perpetrator scared away the boy and raped the girl.
When the victim started shouting, the arrested strangled her to death.

In view of the seriousness of the case, on the instructions of SP Pooja Awana, teams were formed under the leadership of Revdar CO Narendra Singh and a search was started for the accused.
The accused kept changing his location continuously. On the spot, the forensic science laboratory (FSL) team was called and gathered the necessary evidence.
The accused was in hiding in Mount Abu, Uttaraj, Girwar, Chandela, Ishara, Krishnaganj and other places, however, the police enlisted the help of the cyber team and nabbed him in the hills of Balda on Thursday.
The suspect has confessed to the crime.

The perpetrator was identified as Nokaram alias Bharama Ram Garasia who is a resident of Telpikheda.
The police team led by CO Narendra Singh included Anadara Thanadikari Hamirsingh, Head Constable Ganesharam, Constable Bansingh, Laxmi Narayan, Devendra Singh, and Kheraj Ram.
