Sirohi: The Excise Department of Rajasthan has seized a large consignment of smuggled liquor worth more than Rs. 5 crores. The excise officials have arrested 11 smugglers.
The joint operation was launched by the Excise Department officials of five districts in the state.
The recovered consignment of smuggled liquor was brought to Rajasthan from Haryana, Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and other states. The liquor bottles were being transported to Gujrat in several trucks and vehicles.

The action took place on a farm near Bhusela on the National Highway of Sirohi. Three trucks and nine cars have been seized from the spot along with the smuggled liquors. The estimated market value of these recovered liquor was pegged at Rs. 5 crore rupees.

This Excise raid was led by Assistant Excise Commissioner Rana Pratap Singh along with several other Excise officers from Alwar, Banswara, Ajmer, and Bhinmal.
