Bundi (Rajasthan): A minor girl, who was allegedly subjected to rape over a period of several months in Bundi district, has given birth to an infant in a private hospital in Rajasthan's Kota.
The 14-year-old rape survivor was shifted to the hospital in police custody because she faces threats from the alleged rapists.
According to sources, the youth, from the same village reportedly raped girl on the pretext of marriage and subsequently started blackmailing her. The incident came to light after the victim’s family member lodged a complaint with Women Police Station in Bundi.
The girl, who was 13 years old at the time, reportedly did not inform her mother about the rape until her pregnancy became known, sources said.
Meanwhile, the police arrested the accused and further probe is on, sources added.
