Rajasthan: 10 killed, 6 injured after 2 cars collided near Jodhpur

A road accident in Rajasthan's Jodhpur district claimed the lives of 10 people and injured 6 others, as their SUVs collided head-on during early hours of Tuesday. The police reached the accident spot and admitted the injured to the hospital with the help of locals.

Jodhpur (Rajasthan): At least 10 people were killed while six others sustained injuries after two SUVs collided near Aagolai, 40 kilometres away from Jodhpur, in the early hours of Tuesday.

Around 17 people were travelling in both vehicles at the time of the accident.

The police reached the accident spot after getting the information. The police officials admitted the injured to the hospital with the help of locals.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed condolences to the bereaved on Twitter.

"They were going to attend a marriage. An SUV (Scorpio) which was coming towards us hit both our vehicles. Six people from my family have died and 12 members including children and women were travelling in our SUV," said Subhash, a relative of the bereaved family.
