Protest over teachers' exam turns violent in Rajasthan

The candidates of the teachers' recruitment exam of 2018 have been protesting for over past fortnight to raise their demand. A large mob has blocked NH-8 (Udaipur-Bhuwali) in Dungarpur which turned violent.

Udaipur: The ongoing protest in Rajasthan is taking horrific form as one person was killed in police firing while another suffered injuries.

The agitators have been picketing NH-8 for the last 48 hours and are pelting stones from the hills. Not only this, but the protesters have also resorted to looting. The miscreants looted and ransacked about 100 houses in Srinath Colony and the police seemed helpless in front of the miscreants.

Firing has also been reported in Kherwara amid fierce protests. In which a teenager has been injured while another was killed. So far, several steps have been taken at the level of police and administration to stop the violent agitation.

At the same time, efforts have also been intensified by the state government to resolve the matter. The delegation from the government is engaged in talking to the agitators, but so far no solution has been found.

The fire that has been ignited by Kankri Dungri is now spreading in many parts of the district. Under this, by climbing Dungri in Dabella village on Aspur State Highway in the district, the tribal youth started stone-pelting and drove the police 6 km behind. At the same time, 3 vehicles passing through the road and a shop were looted and set on fire. However, the police also opened fire on the mob but the stone-pelting still continues from the hills.

Trucks torched, hotel robbed

It is being said that the miscreants have attacked again in Dabella on the Aspur Highway and started looting in the residential colony. At the same time, the miscreants looted 7 trucks and set them on fire and robbed a hotel.

Situation out of control in Udaipur

In Udaipur too, the protest is taking an ugly turn. On Saturday morning, the police gave a befitting reply to the stone-pelting of the protesters, but after a large number of miscreants arrived, the police had to retreat from Bichiwada and once again to Kherwara. At the moment, the miscreants are continuously damaging the public property and the condition seems to be out of police control.

Governor discussed with CM, directive for strict action

Governor Kalraj Mishra discussed the violence in Dungarpur with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot over the phone on Saturday. Governor Mishra called Principal Secretary Home Abhay Kumar and Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Saurabh Srivastava at the Raj Bhavan and instructed him to take immediate control of this violence. Giving instructions, the Governor asked the officials to nab the culprits behind the violence. The governor took information from both officials about the violence and violence committed by people in tribal areas.

BJP formed a 3-member committee

The opposition has also become active amid the violent movement in Dungarpur. BJP has formed a committee of 3 members in the state. This 3-member committee of BJP will visit Dungarpur and submit a report to State President Dr. Satish Poonia. Bharatiya Janata Party State Chief Spokesperson and MLA Ramlal Sharma said that the committee comprises the party's State General Secretary and MLA Madan Dilawar as well as Udaipur MP Arjun Lal Meena and State Vice President and Chittorgarh MP CP Joshi.

On Friday, protesters crossed the limits of chaos. The miscreants took possession of the area up to 10 km of the Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway and burnt property worth crores within 48 hours. Not only this, but the miscreants also carried out the incidents of sabotage and looting in the houses.
