Bharatpur (Rajasthan): In a major haul, the Rajasthan police unearthed an illegal arms factory and arrested three persons in Rajasthan's Mewat area on Sunday.
The police team raided the area and unearthed an arms manufacturing unit. Altogether 15 unfinished pistols, live cartridges, raw materials and parts used in arms manufacturing were recovered.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Dr Amandeep Singh Kapoor, Bharatpur's Superintendent of Police, said that soon after receiving information from the informer, a special team was formed and the team conducted a raid in the region.
"An illegal arms factory was being operated. Three accused were found on the spot who were engaged in making illegal weapons. We have seized the materials and further investigation is underway," he said.
He further said that a case under the Arms Act has been lodged and the police will investigate the racket from different angles.
