Jaipur: Passengers created a chaos at Guwahati airport after the Jaipur-bound SpiceJet flight was suddenly cancelled today. Passengers of the Guwahati-Jaipur flight alleged they were not intimated about the cancellation. When they created a ruckus, the airlines stated that the flight was canceled due to technical reasons. It has now been rescheduled tomorrow.
Congress leader Alok Pareek, who was present among the passengers at Guwahati airport alleged that the SpiceJet administration cancelled the Guwahati-Jaipur flight without informing the passengers. It was only after arriving at the airport that passengers came to know that their flight was canceled. They complained that despite repeated requests no arrangements were made by the administration for accommodating them in other flights.
Aggrieved passengers started protesting against the SpiceJet management. They said that 288 people had booked tickets on SpiceJet flight to Jaipur. At 9:15 am they were told that the flight has been cancelled while its scheduled time of departure was 10:40 am, a passenger complained. The airline also did not give any reason for cancelling the flight when they informed passengers that the flight would not operate, he said.
The SpiceJet management has informed that the flight that was cancelled today has been rescheduled. It has informed that the flight will leave on April 28 at 10:40 am.

Two weeks back, several GoFirst flights from Mumbai to Delhi and Bengaluru were delayed or cancelled leading to passengers creating chaos at the airport. The passengers even staged a sit-in-demonstration. GoFirst spokesperson said that the aircraft was damaged due to bird hit during landing and had been sent for repairing.
