No FIRs should be registered against students: Ashwini Choubey

Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Choubey has said he would speak to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and request him not to register FIRs against students who protested to go home. They raised their demand while maintaining physical distance from each other.

New Delhi: Supporting students from Bihar studying in Rajasthan's Kota for their demand to be allowed to go home, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Choubey has said they registered their request while maintaining physical distance, a requirement to curb coronavirus, and there should be no FIRs registered against them.

"They raised their demand while marinating required physical distance from each other and their should be no FIRs against any of them," the minister said in a video message here.
Choubey, also an MP from Bihar, said he would request the Rajasthan Chief Minister to help the students.


"I will speak to Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot about the issue," he said.

Meanwhile, with Ministry of Home Affairs announcing that students, labourers and workers stranded in any other state because of the lockdown would be sent to their home state by buses after they register themselves with the authorities concerned.
