Bharatpur: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three persons, living in her neighbourhood at a village under Mathuraget police limits in Rajasthan's Bharatpur, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place late last night.
According to an FIR filed with the police, the girl left her home and went to the neighbour’s house as none were there in her house.
As per police sources, the main accused took the minor to a secluded spot where the two others were waiting and then later gagged her mouth and raped her taking turns.
The girl anyhow managed to come home and the minor narrated her ordeal to the family members, they approached the police station and lodged an FIR in this regard.
Police have started an investigation into the incident registering a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Efforts are on to nab three accused who are absconding, the police said.
Based on the plaint, a case was registered and a probe was initiated. The minor girl has been sent for medical examination.
