Bali (Rajasthan): A migrant worker who had set out from Mumbai on foot to reach his home in Rajasthan's Joba amid coronavirus-induced lockdown died on his way.
According to initial information, Paburam Raika, a migrant worker left Mumbai on April 17. His boss refused to give him his salary after which he left for his home town on foot and continued walking on the road for seven days.
With nothing to eat, his health started deteriorating, and his condition turned worst after reaching Ahmedabad.
Chogaram, one of his brothers, works in Ahmedabad. When he came to know about the condition of Paburam, he immediately took him to a civil hospital. He died after 20 days of treatment.
Paburam's dead body was brought to Joba from Ahmedabad's civil hospital.
