Leopard, peacock electrocuted in Bhilwara

A leopard and peacock were electrocuted in Bhilwara of Rajasthan. The incident took place when the leopard tried to hunt the peacock. The bird, in order to save itself from the leopard, got entangled in electricity wires and was followed by the hunter. Both got electrocuted.

Bhilwara (Rajasthan): A leopard and a peacock were electrocuted as the former tried to hunt the bird in Baghera village here, sources said.

They said the leopard was trying to hunt the peacock, which took a flight to an electricity transformer, and as it sat on the wires the leopard followed and both got electrocuted.

The villagers informed the forest officials and they got the postmortem done on the bodies of the bird and the animal.
