Infant death toll rises to 110 in Rajasthan's Kota

The death toll in Kota's state-run hospital, JK Lone Hospital has risen to 110. A multi-disciplinary team of experts constituted by the health ministry reached the hospital to conduct a death audit of the infants' deaths.

Infant death toll rises to 110 in Rajasthan's Kota

Kota: As many as 110 infants died in Rajasthan's JK Lone Hospital in Kota, reports suggest.

Earlier, the death of the infants rose to 107 on Saturday.

Apart from Kota, as many as 146 children - 98 being infants- have reportedly died in the month of December 2019 in the Child Care Unit of SN Medical College in Jodhpur - a constituency represented by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

A multi-disciplinary team of experts constituted by the health ministry reached the hospital to conduct a death audit of the infants' deaths.

The members of this committee will conduct an audit of the deaths in the hospital. The team will prepare a report about the lack of facilities and medical care in the hospital. This report will be sent to the Union Health Ministry.

Intro:प्रदेश के चिकित्सा मंत्री रघु शर्मा और उप मुख्यमंत्री सचिन पायलट भी दौरा करके जा चुके हैं और व्यवस्थाओं में सुधार के निर्देश दे चुके हैं, लेकिन इसके बावजूद भी बच्चों की मौत का सिलसिला नहीं थम रहा है. यह बच्चों की मौत का आंकड़ा बीते 35 दिनों में 110 बच्चों तक पहुंच गया है.

कोटा के जेके लोन अस्पताल में बच्चों की मौत के कारण पूरे देश भर में छाया हुआ. हमें यहां पर प्रदेश के चिकित्सा मंत्री रघु शर्मा और उप मुख्यमंत्री सचिन पायलट भी दौरा करके जा चुके हैं और व्यवस्थाओं में सुधार के निर्देश दे चुके हैं, लेकिन इसके बावजूद भी बच्चों की मौत का सिलसिला नहीं थम रहा है. यह बच्चों की मौत का आंकड़ा बीते 35 दिनों में 110 बच्चों तक पहुंच गया है. जिनमें चार बच्चों की मौत शनिवार को पूरे दिन में हुई है. इनमें से तीन बच्चे एनआईसीयू और एक बच्चा पीआईसीयू में भर्ती था. मरने वाले बच्चों में बारां जिले के शाहबाद जिले शाहबाद निवासी द्रोपती का बच्चा शामिल है. द्रोपती ने जेके लोन अस्पताल में ही बच्चे को जन्म दिया था. उसके पति कन्हैया लाल का कहना है कि बच्चे को मशीन में रखा हुआ था और मशीन भी दो से तीन बार बंद हुई. वह जाकर स्टाफ से कह कर आया था. बड़ी मुश्किल से आया और कुछ घंटों बाद बच्चे की मौत हो गई.

Conclusion:टीम ने बच्चों की मौत को हाइपोथर्मिया के कारण माना
लगातार हो रही बच्चों की मौत के कारण भी केंद्र सरकार ने भी केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय से एक टीम को गठित कर कोटा भेजा है. जो भी बच्चों की मौत के कारणों की पड़ताल में जुटी हुई है. प्रथम बस दिया उन्होंने भी हाइपोथर्मिया को ही बच्चों की मौत का कारण बताया है. हालांकि बच्चों की मौत का जायजा लेने पहुंची टीम और कारणों की पड़ताल करने वाली टीम अपनी रिपोर्ट को केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय को सौंपी गई.
