New Delhi: India on Thursday successfully carried out trial of the Man Portable Anti Tank Guided Missile (MP-ATGM) developed for infantry troops of the Army. The DRDO carried out the trial of the missile with 2-3 km strike range last night in Rajasthan desert.
This follows after India successfully carried out the third trial of Pinaka guided missile at Pokharan desert of Rajasthan earlier this week.
The indigenously developed Pinaka guided rocket system was test fired to boost the artillery capability of the Army, the defence ministry said.
The weapon system is equipped with state-of-the-art guidance comprising of an advanced navigation and control system.
Also, the missile has impacted the intended targets and achieved desired accuracy.
