Ajmer: Khawaja Gharib Nawaz's city in Rajasthan is known for its stories of peace and unity among its dwellers.
Incidentally, a Hindu couple residing in Ajmer's Longia has been keeping Roza.
Rahul Reger, along with his wife Manisha, has been keeping Roza for many years. But due to the ongoing pandemic, this year's Roza is unique for them as they are constantly praying for the pandemic to end.
"Fasting is not only good for health but also gives us spiritual satisfaction," Rahul told ETV Bharat.
As the country is fighting the deadly infection, the spirit of festivity and celebration has gone for a toss. "I want everything to gain normalcy so that we can celebrate all festivals with joy and happiness," said Rahul.
The couple who had a love marriage expressed solidarity with the Muslim community. "I feel satisfied when I fast with my husband. He has been fasting for a very long time," said Manisha.
Both the couple earn their livelihood by selling vegetables during the coronavirus crisis.
