Bharatpur (Rajasthan): Agitation by the Gujjar community over various demands entered the second day. Protest leader Vijay Bainsla, while speaking to ETV Bharat, said that avenues of dialogue with the government are open, but the government need to fulfil its promises written in the manifesto.
Bainsla said, ''Minister Ashok Chandna talked on the phone and at the behest of Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla, he also came to meet us. But he came to meet at night and it was not the appropriate time to meet him. He should meet all of us in front of the society during the day.''
''I asked Minister Ashok Chandna to come to Pilupura the next day, but he said that assembly session is going on, it would not be possible to come the next day. In such a situation, we asked him he can come in 1-2 days and if the Minister Ashok Chandna is busy then the government can send anyone else for talks. We have no problem.'' said Bainsla.
Bainsla said a few days ago, a statement containing the signatures of Minister Raghu Sharma and Ashok Chandna came in which it was written that the widows of 3 martyrs of the movement will be given a compensation of Rs. 5 lakhs. But there was no mention of the position and duration on which the job will be given. If the government wishes, everything can happen overnight. The government had registered cases against the people of Gujjar society overnight, In the same way, orders related to our demands can be issued overnight.
