Jaipur: A sensational case of gang rape of a nomadic woman in an ambulance has come to light from the Moti Dungri police station area of Jaipur. The police have registered a case of gang rape and have started searching for the accused. This crime was reported on the afternoon of May 24. The ambulance driver took the 22-year-old victim to a desolate stretch of the city on the pretext of offering food. At present, the police have got the recorded statement of the victim and have registered a case.

Moti Dungri Police Officer Surendra Pancholi said that the 22-year-old victim lives with her husband on the pavement near Sawai Mansingh Hospital. The victim's husband runs a vegetable cart. On the afternoon of May 24, the woman was hungry and asked the driver of the ambulance parked outside the SMS Hospital for some food. The ambulance driver lured the victim with offers of food and drove her to Trimurti Circle. On the Trimurti Circle, the ambulance driver also picked up his accomplice and drove his ambulance to Jhulana via Gandhi Circle. They stopped the vehicle at a desolate stretch and gang-raped the woman.

The accused escaped leaving the victim on the pavement. Following the incident, the woman along with her husband reached the SMS Hospital police post and complained. The police have registered a case and have started searching for the accused. The Police also said that they have solid clues of the accused and they will be arrested soon.
