Kota: As many as five pregnant women, who had tested positive for coronavirus, delivered five babies in JK Lone Hospital in Rajasthan's Kota on Wednesday. The swab reports of the babies have come out negative giving a sigh of relief to the families of the babies and doctors of the hospital.
According to sources the women were tested positive for coronavirus and were admitted some days ago. After the delivery, everyone was concerned and worried about the newborns.
After delivery, their newborns tested negative and they have been shifted separately to the geriatric ward of the hospital. The hospital staff is delivering mother's milk to these babies, sources said.
"The paediatricians are regularly taking care of these babies and all newborns are healthy. Now they will be re-sampled in the next 24 to 48 hours. The second report also came negative. Unless the mothers are cured they will not be allowed to meet their babies. All newborns are under the special care of the doctors and staff," said, Dr SC Sushil, Superintendent, JK Lone Hospital.
