Jaipur: An employee of the Jodhpur Military Engineering Service who was detained by the Defence Intelligence Agency two days ago has been now arrested on Thursday for sharing confidential information about the military to Pakistan based ISI through WhatsApp.
The DIA had on Tuesday detained Ram Singh (30) from Jodhpur and took him to Jaipur for further investigation. During the investigation, the agency found some confidential information related to the defence which he had shared to a Pakistani woman linked to ISI. Falling into a honeytrap, the accused Ram Singh a resident of Sirohi district came in contact with a Pakistani woman through the social media platform.
Investigating officer, DSP Haricharan Meena said that during an investigation Ram Singh revealed that he came in contact with the Pakistani female handler through WhatsApp and the female handler was in constant touch with him for the last 2 months. She manipulated him and promised him of marriage. Falling in her trap Ram Singh who is a fourth-grade employee in the MES sent her confidential information. He took pictures of the documents while shifting files from one table to another. Later, he sent those documents to the ISI handler.
