Tonk: Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla on Sunday said all democratic institutions of the country should be accountable to the people.
While speaking to media in Tonk district of Rajasthan, Birla said that his endeavour is to have maximum proceedings in the Lok Sabha so that discussions can be held as much as possible in the interest of common people.
He also said that the state assemblies and the Lok Sabha should work together to strengthen all democratic institutions in the country.
The Lok Sabha speaker had come to the district to address a programme organised by the BJP. He also took the blessings of Goddess Vishumati.
