Bhilwara (Rajasthan): Bhilwara, a city in no time became the hotspot of coronavirus in Rajasthan. In such a situation the doctors and policemen left no stone unturned to take control. As a result of which Bhilwara is now free of Corona menace. Behind this success of Bhilwara is also the contribution of one such couple who ignored their family even in this difficult time.

Bhilwara has managed to break the chain of corona due to which the whole country is talking about the ‘Bhilwara Model’. Corona Warriors (medical personnel, police, scavengers) played an important role to make this model a success. One of these Corona Warriors is medical worker Dilkhush Singh and his constable wife Saroj Kanwar.

Both of them are associated with important professions and in the current circumstances, their roles are extremely critical. The passion of these two towards their country and their duty can be gauged from the fact that they are devoting all their time to combat corona leaving their 7-year-old daughter locked up behind at home.

This couple has not had a word with their daughter Dikshita for the last fifteen days. This tiny girl, who is merely 7 years old, is also cooperating with their parents in their cause. She remains locked up alone in their house for hours but never complains to her parents about anything.

The girl's father Dilkhush works as a compounder in Mahatma Gandhi District Hospital. At the same time, Dilkhush's wife Saroj is working as a constable in the Bhilwara police.

At one point in time, Bhilwara had become an epicentre of Coronavirus. Curfew was imposed here on 20th March. Even after this, when the number of patients did not decrease, a super curfew was imposed from April 3rd to 13th. In such a situation, the responsibility for this couple increased even more.

It is also true that the work of the couple is full of risk. Both have the danger of coming in contact with infected people at any point in time during their respective duties. In such a situation, the infection can also reach their daughter. Fearing this they have not touched her for many days. Even after reaching home late at night, they keep the girl away from themselves to keep her safe from getting infected.

Woman constable Saroj Kanwar says that her husband Dilkush works in the isolation ward of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara district, due to which he has not returned home for the last 15 days.

On the other hand, their daughter Dikshita says that when her mother locks her up and goes to perform her duty, all she does is studying and watching television or simply wait for her mother to arrive. Her father does not come home so she speaks to him over the phone.

ETV Bharat salutes the corona warriors who have considered the service to motherland supreme even before the interest of their own families.
