Ajmer (Rajasthan): In a shocking incident an unknown persons attacked constable Baccharam in Rajsamand on Monday. He was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by one Gajendra Singh. He received injuries on his hand and was admitted to a hospital in Ajmer. Later, the accused had also tried to attack other police personnel, too, but was overpowered.
Rajsamand SP Sudheer Chaudhary said since the murder of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, fake news and rumours are being spread in the district. This could have prompted the man to attack the constable. It should also be mentioned that the two main accused in Kanhaiya Lal murder case -Riaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad were arrested from Bhim town of Rajsamand.

A day after a mob in Bhim town started marching toward a religious place with the intention to attack it. To thwart them, police had to fire tear gas shells at the crowd. A police constable was attacked during the agitation.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan police arrested over 23 people in connection with this. Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari also visited the town and submitted a representation to the SDM and sought a fair investigation into the matter.
Sources claimed Hindutva activists alleged that innocent people had been arrested in the case. "We have evidence against all those arrested in connection with the attack on the policeman that took place on Wednesday last week. No innocent person has been arrested. Some wrong information and fake news are doing rounds," the SP said.
