Case filled against preacher Morari Bapu for controversial remarks on Lord Krishna

Morari Bapu, renowned exponent of the Ramcharitmanas, has kicked up a row by his alleged remarks on Lord Krishna, during a discourse. A case has been filed against him in Rajasthan for hurting religious sentiments.

Jaipur: A case has been lodged against Morari Bapu, renowned exponent of the Ramcharitmanas, for allegedly making objectionable remarks on Lord Krishna. According to reports, the complaint has been filed in Kalwar police station in Jaipur district of Rajasthan, for hurting religious sentiments.

In a video, which went viral, Morari Bapu is seen making objectionable remarks on the entire family including Lord Krishna and his elder brother Balarama. In view of this, various religious leaders associated with Hindu society have expressed strong opposition and asked the Morari Bapu to issue an apologise.

It is being reported that Morari Bapu, who has been reciting Ram Kathas for over 50 years throughout the world, described Lord Krishna as characterless, a thief and a molester.

In 2018, spiritual leader Morari Bapu had kicked up a row by narrating the Ram Katha to around 200 sex workers from Mumbai in Ayodhya. It was noted that sex workers from Kamathipura, the red light area of Mumbai, were personally invited by Morari Bapu for the religious discourse.

Hindu religious leaders raised objections over the gathering of sex workers in the "pious town of Ayodhya". However, brushing aside criticism he had said, "Tulsidas has mentioned 'Ganikas' (sex workers) in Ramcharitmanas".
